Specifically, they arbitrarily have console exclusives. What the actual fuck? Can you imagine if a game developer making a PC game had an NVIDIA GPU exclusive, or an Intel CPU exclusive? Ridiculous.
Also, console games are almost never cross platform. This means that as a PC gamer, I'm constantly missing out on opportunities to game with friends, because they decided to buy whatever game for PS4 or XBox.
Additionally, console hardware is out of date before the console is released, and is non-upgradable.
Once, perhaps 20 years ago, I could accept that people might buy a console because building a gaming PC exceeded their capacity. No longer. You can buy a PC that out performs current gen consoles in every way for barely more than those consoles cost. No assembly required.
